- (1)The Central Hindu College, 1[Banaras], shall, from such 2date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, be deemed to be a College maintained by the University, and the University may found and maintain other colleges and 3[institutions including High Schools, within a radius of fifteen miles from the main temple of the University] for the purpose of carrying out instruction and research. 4[(1A) The University may also found and maintain (within or beyond the aforementioned limits) special centers and laboratories for research in Humanities, Science and Technology, Education, Medicine and other professional subjects and in other spheres of learning and knowledge.]
