Section 15 of THE RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES ACT, 1994

1[(1) The Registrar shall be a whole time Officer of the University. The State Government shall appoint an Officer belonging

to the Indian Administrative Service in the Senior Scale or an Officer belonging to the Karnataka Administrative Services not below the rank of Supertime Scale to be the Registrar of the University]

(2)The salary and allowance and other conditions of the service of the Registrar shall be such as may be prescribed by the Syndicate.
(3)The Registrar shall be responsible for the due custody of records and the common seal of the University. He shall be ex-officio Secretary of

the Senate, the Syndicate and the Academic Council of the University. He

shall be bound to place before them all such information as may be necessary for the transaction of the business. He shall keep a permanent record of all courses, curricular and other information, as may be necessary.
